Fire at Swimming Pool in Latsia – Extensive Damage

Yesterday morning, a fire broke out in a private indoor swimming pool in Latsia, with the Fire Service responding immediately. The fire was brought under control approximately one hour later, but caused damage to equipment and wooden furniture in the building, which has already been deemed unsafe for demolition. According to initial estimates by the Fire Service, the fire was deliberately set by unknown individuals. The investigation to identify those responsible is underway. The two foci detected inside the premises suggest a possible criminal act. The extent of the damage is significant, given the already poor condition of the building. The Fire Service is investigating to determine the exact circumstances under which the fire broke out and to identify the perpetrators. The case has been handed over to the Police for further investigation.
