Σε κινητοποποίηση τέθηκε τα ξημερώματα η Αστυνομία μετά από έκρηξη σε υποστατικό στη Λεμεσό.
Συγκεκριμένα, στη 1.30 τα ξημερώματα, σημειώθηκε έκρηξη σε ανθοπωλείο στην περιοχή των Πολεμιδιών, ιδιοκτησία 49χρονης.
Από προκαταρκτικές εξετάσεις που έγιναν διαπιστώθηκε ότι η έκρηξη οφειλόταν σε πυροδότηση αυτοσχέδιου αντικειμένου, που περιείχε εκρηκτική ύλη χαμηλής ισχύος, το οποίο τοποθετήθηκε εξωτερικά στην είσοδο του υποστατικού.
Από την έκρηξη προκλήθηκαν εκτεταμένες ζημιές στην πρόσοψη του υποστατικού καθώς και σε δύο οχήματα τα οποία ήταν σταθμευμένα μπροστά από το υποστατικό.
Οι εξετάσεις βρίσκονται σε εξέλιξη στη σκηνή από το ΤΑΕ Λεμεσού.

Bomb Explodes at Florist Shop in Limassol
Early Wednesday morning, an explosion occurred at a florist shop in the Polemidia area of Limassol. The explosion was caused by a low-intensity improvised explosive device placed outside the store. The explosion caused extensive damage to the facade of the florist shop and two parked vehicles. Police were immediately mobilized and are conducting investigations to determine the cause of the explosion and identify those responsible. Members of the Limassol TAE are at the scene collecting evidence and examining testimonies. The owner of the florist shop is a 49-year-old woman. No injuries have been reported from the explosion, however, the material damage is significant. The authorities are investigating all possible motives for the explosion, without ruling out any possibility. The investigation is ongoing and is expected to shed light on the events.
