Paphos Municipality Receives Positive Audit Results for Three Co-funded Projects

The Paphos Municipality announced the successful completion of audits on three projects co-funded by European Funds, with no observations from the Republic's Internal Audit Service. The audits were conducted by Grant Thornton (Cyprus) Ltd. The projects audited are the improvement of Paphos's main road arteries (Greece Avenue, G. Dighenis, Neophytos Nikolaidis & Evagoras Pallikaridis), infrastructure for public transport in Paphos, and the Paphos Multifunctional Social Welfare Center. All projects were part of the Operational Programs “Competitiveness and Sustainable Development” and “Employment, Human Resources and Social Cohesion” of the 2014-2020 Programming Period. The Paphos Municipality emphasizes that the successful outcome of the audits demonstrates its commitment to good governance and compliance with all prescribed procedures. Grant Thornton (Cyprus) Ltd expressed its satisfaction with the constructive cooperation with the Municipality. The completion of the audits without findings confirms the effectiveness of the management of European funds by the Paphos Municipality and contributes to strengthening the city's reputation as a reliable partner in the implementation of important projects.
