Pheidippides Panagiotou Elected President of Direct Democracy Party

Pheidippides Panagiotou was elected president of the Direct Democracy party after a vote involving approximately 7,000 party members. He defeated six other candidates, with Daiana Constantinidi receiving the second-highest vote. Specifically, Pheidippides Panagiotou received 4,006 votes, Daiana Constantinidi 1,923 votes, Minas Giorcas 465 votes, Andreas Varosiotis 259 votes, Tasos Anastasiou 105 votes, Stefanos Christodoulou 125 votes, and Andreas Pigas 176 votes. Pheidippides Panagiotou appointed Daiana Constantinidi as vice-president of the party. A secretary and treasurer will also be appointed in the next stages. The party president announced that presidential elections will be held every 2.5 years. Pheidippides Panagiotou's election follows the selection of the party's 56 candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections, through a vote of approximately 16,000 citizens on the Agora application.
